African Corner
All the products in this shop are inspired by the African continent. They are either sourced from different parts of Africa or locally made. The African Corner team makes jewelry from recycled materials like cow bone, brass, and fabric.

African Corner also has a studio at the back of Shela dubbed, African Corner Studio, that showcases art made by Lamu local artists. They have an art program that empowers children and the youth into creativity and innovation.
The studio occasionally organizes for Art related events, galleries and workshops that are open to guests. Contact us to learn of what’s happening during your dates of travel.
Natural Lamu
As the name suggests, the shop sells products made from natural elements on Lamu Island.
They have a selection of products made from either;
- Moringa
- Coconut
- Turmeric
- Ginger
- Avocado
- Neem and more.
They also stock dry Local Fruits, Spices, Herbs, Jams and Powders
Aman Shop
This is a boutique that sells chic collections inspired by the culture of Lamu island, India and the colorful markets of Africa.
Most collections are made by the in-house tailors using materials such as;
- pure cotton
- hand-loom cotton
- Egyptian cotton and
- fine silk.
They keep the collections relatively small and tend to create one off pieces because of their use of rare textiles. They also stock a small selection of fine jewelry and accessories.
